What is an e-certified translation?

An e-certified translation is an electronically certified version of a translation bearing an official clause. Technically, this means a PDF file containing the translation prepared by our translation agency, the material being translated, and the related bilingual certificate, all this being accompanied by a qualified electronic signature and a time stamp based on cryptographic algorithms, which means that the document certified in this way is considered a private document with full probative value.

Authentication is performed using an electronic signature created with a chip card-based certificate and PIN code from the authentication service provider, which can be verified by anyone on the service provider's web server.

Why e-certified translation is the best option

E-certified translations offer numerous advantages over traditional certified or official translations.

One of the most important advantages is that they offer a much higher level of security for the user than traditionally certified or stamped (i.e.,hand-bound or stapled) translations.

The digitally signed and certified PDF file is locked, meaning it cannot be modified or altered after creation. The certified certificate attached to the PDF file clearly shows the date of creation and confirms that the document is complete, intact, and undamaged.
